No Due Dates l No Late Fees l No Commitment l Free Trial l Free Shipping l Flat Fee l Convenience l Selection l Customer Service l Join
We could give you a hundred reasons to join Netflix , but by the time you got done reading them, you'd probably be too exhausted to click through and sign up. So, we'll just tell you the top ten reasons why we love Netflix and why you'll love them, too.

When Netflix says you can keep a DVD as long as you like, they mean it.
Watch it and return it in a day, as many do, and get your next DVD that much more quickly. Or save it for the weekend. Or save it for next week. Or let your buddy at work watch it... you know, the guy who still has your VHS copy of Lethal Weapon from 1988? Doesn't matter when he gives it back, because - with Netflix - you don't have to return the DVD on a specific day.
Your kids want to watch "Finding Nemo" over and over again? No problem. Keep the disk a few extra days. Of course, if you find yourself wanting the DVD as part of your permanent collection, you'd probably be better off buying it. But Netflix provides a no-risk way to "try before you buy." Rent the film and if you love it, go out and buy it. But don't waste your money on a clunker.

This one's really simple to explain.
If there are no due dates, there can't possibly be any late fees!

We're sure you'll love Netflix as much as we do, but if you don't, you can cancel the service at any time. You can even cancel after you enjoy your free trial (they'll give you a reasonable amount of time to return any outstanding DVDs you may have).
In fact, you can cancel for any reason whatsoever at any time.
If you wake up one morning and decide you've grown tired of it all... simply go online and visit the customer service section of the website. No questions asked.
Incidentally, this concept of just walking away from the relationship applies to Netflix only. We don't recommend applying it to any other aspect of your life and if you do, we can't guarantee the results. In fact, we're pretty sure that breaking up with your husband or wife like this won't work (and will cost you a lot more than the seventeen bucks a month Netflix charges to rent DVDs). But, hey, we're just sayin'...

What part of FREE don't you understand?
Seriously, we have all been trained to be skeptical of offers that seem too good to be true, especially on the internet. We ourselves were wary when we first heard about the Netflix deal. But there's nothing shady about it.
Why does Netflixdo it?
They give you a two week free trial (new customers only, of course) because they're sure that the vast majority of people who try will continue to use the service. And the strategy evidently works - they're the world's most popular online DVD rental service, with over two and a half million active users! Most of them started with an absolutely free trial, just like the one that's being offered to you through this site.

Netflix pays the postage on your DVD rentals both ways!
Each DVD is shipped to you with its own pre-paid return envelope. Watch a DVD, place it in its protective sleeve, pop it in the mailer and drop it in the nearest U.S. mailbox. You don't even have to lick the envelope... it comes with a peel-and-stick adhesive strip!
And Netflix now has an extensive distribution network of regional shipping facilities that gets DVD's delivered to your door fast!

No shipping fees and no hidden charges.
It's eighteen dollars a month and it's "all-you-can-watch" for that that one low monthly fee.
Heck, it's actually a little cheaper than eighteen bucks, if the truth be told... it's only $17.99. (The way we see it, every penny in your pocket helps!) If you choose, you can sign up for an $11.99 monthly plan, which really is a lot cheaper, but there's a slight catch: you can have only two DVDs out at a time.
How much are you paying for DVD rentals at your local store now?
No matter what yardstick you use, the Netflix deal stands tall. Let's say you drag your heels and don't return the DVDs promptly. Let's say the U.S. postal service disappoints you and your DVDs don't arrive quickly. How many DVDs do you still think you could rent and watch in a month? Five? Well, OK, that's about $3.60 per rental. Not great, but not bad, either, when you remember that they're conveniently delivered right to your door.
Is renting seven DVDs a month more realistic? Well, now you're talking... you cost is now around $2.58 each. Again, we ask you: how much are you paying for DVD rentals at your local store now? Rent, watch and return more than seven DVDs a month and the cost per rental becomes almost insignificant, especially when you consider the time and money you save by not going to the video store ...and the unprecedented convenience, which, wouldn't you know it, is the very next thing on our list.

Go online to netflix.com. Browse and select movies you want to see. Order. One or two days later, DVDs will be delivered to your door. Take as long as you like to watch them. When you're ready, place one in a pre-paid mailer and drop it in any U.S. mailbox. Repeat.
Netflix is simply the most convenient DVD rental service you're ever likely to encounter.
No due dates. No late charges. And no wasting time and money getting in your car and going to the video store, only to find that the title you want isn't available. Has that ever happened to you? You roam the aisles desperately searching for something - anything - worthwhile and drive home empty-handed ...or with something that you settled for. With Netflix, every single DVD you receive has been taken directly from the list of priority rentals you've established. There are no surprises and you won't have to settle.
One more thing: this might not make it onto everyone's "top ten" list, but it sure does make it onto ours... we don't know about you, but we like the convenience of being able to rent DVD's in our underwear at midnight, or at 6 or 7 AM. There aren't many video stores that are open at those hours... and none that will let us shop in our underwear! OK, we hear what you're saying... TMI (too much information). But you gotta admit... renting on your schedule - and not theirs - is pretty sweet.

You won't find this many DVDs available anywhere ... online or in your neighborhood. Comedy, Drama, Romance, Thrillers, Sci-Fi, Horror, TV, Classics, Kids - you'll discover Netflix stocks virtually every DVD ever released. And Netflixis a great rental resource if you like foreign, anime, documentary or independent films... those are usually the ones you can't get at your local store - for sale or rent. But with so many DVDs from which to choose, you'll find nearly everything you're looking for with Netflix. It's truly the world's largest selection of DVDs!
What local video store stocks over 50,000 titles?
Netflix makes it easy to find what you're looking for... at the netflix.com homepage, you can search for DVDs by title, by genre or by star. Browse new releases or take their recommendations. Netflix has a sophisticated software program that will get to know what kind of movies you like based on which movies you rent. You can improve their recommendations by providing a rating for each film you see, even films you've seen prior to joining Netflix. In fact, the more you use the service - the more you rent and rate DVDs - the more personalized your Netflix experience will become.
`

The whole Netflix operation runs pretty darn smoothly. They'll send you an e-mail to document every step of the rental process: to let you know they received a DVD you returned, to let you know the next DVD has been shipped and to let you know the estimated delivery date. If you ever encounter a problem, chances are you'll find a way to get help right on their site... everything from billing inquiries to reporting a damaged or missing DVD. (For the record, neither of these things have ever happened to us.)
If you do have a question which you can't answer by visiting their extensive online help, you can call Netflix toll free. Or e-mail them and get a response from an actual human being, generally in less than 24 hours.
Netflix customer service is so good, they're rated number 2 in customer satisfaction, right behind Amazon!

OK, so maybe we did mention it once or twice... but it's worth repeating.
This is a great opportunity to try Netflix with no risk and no commitment.
And it really is exactly what it says it is... an absolutely free trial.
How many DVDs can you "rent" in your two week free trial? Well, there's technically no limit. Most people can go through at least five or six. We managed to see seven, but maybe we just got lucky... it all depends on how quickly you watch them and how quickly the postal service can deliver them to you and bring them back to Netflix.
Of course, you'll never know, if you don't give it a try.
